The New Complete Guide to the Band Saw by Mark Duginske.
Fox Chapel Publishing, 2007.
$19.95; 200pp.

We recently received a copy of this book from Fox Chapel Publishing and are offering it to you. Leave a comment here for a chance to win.

The subtitle of The New Complete Guide to the Band Saw is “Everything you need to know about the most important saw in the shop”. That might say it all. The book has over 300 photos and illustrations and covers topics such as buying, setting up, and maintaining a band saw as well as how to get the most out of the machine with jigs and accessories. There are also project ideas, including a three-legged shaker table, a shaker step-stool, and an oval shaker box.

Congratulations to RVH! His comment was chosen at random and he wins a copy of the book.

Woodsmithy writes: I have Mark's earlier book "Bandsaw Handbook" and thought so much of it that I took a lesson from him. Besides being a great technical writer, inventor, and master at the bandsaw, Mark is a genuine nice guy.

Congratulation on your new book Mark,

RalphBarker writes: One might quibble about whether the band saw is the *most* important tool in the shop, but it's certainly among the top contenders in my shop. Now, to go carve one of those big "champion" belts out of wood (oval cut on the bandsaw, of course), and hire a couple of "round girls". ;-) Posted: 11:36 am on April 29th
