This is a sculpture about my father who taught me woodworking when I was just a kid. Many of the tools on this piece were his. His outfit is made of 13 ply hardwood plywood cut up to make the parkay effect. The L shape on the lower left is made of layers of plywood with a veneer of ash on top. When exhibited the spiket drips water into the cup from a hidden container behind the piece. The trowsers are painted with polymer resin for that thick glossy look. The hair on his arm (Hand saw) as well as his beard is made of blue carpet tacks. It measures 51"x40"x8."
