Flashback: The 1956 Debut of the Eames Lounge Chair
November 19th, 2008 in blogs
Video Length: 4:26
Produced by: NBC via YouTube
I just couldn't pass up posting this classic NBC interview with furniture designer Charles Eames (and wife Ray) where he introduces the instant-classic Eames Lounge Chair. (actually, you have to watch part two to see the complete unveiling.)
This chair isn't exactly a showcase in fine woodworking, but it is something that any furniture maker can appreciate. To watch part two of this segment, and see other classic clips, visit The Classic Crooners channel on YouTube.
