Ash Night Table
May 31st, 2009 in The GalleryA sweet little table with simple lines. This table was made with shop-sawn ash veneer, and birch for the drawer. This is a "modern" post and panel construction, where instead of having a floating panel, the panels are actually a little over an inch thick, i did this by gluing up thicknesses of ply-wood. the reason behind this is that i still have my 1/8 reveal on the outside but the panels are flush with the legs on the inside, greatly simplifying the contruction, meaning i dont have to worry about gluing in runners and kickers. The panels were just simple doweled together.
