This mantle was part of a remodel that turned a 50's style ranch house into an arts and crafts bungalow. The mantle shelf is a solid cherry board that is over 15' long.

RabbetRun writes: Beautiful clean design and awesome work. I have a similar idea for my house and the fireplace is flush to the wall like yours. I'd like to ask you how deep are the bookcases?
