Oak Entertainment Center
June 27th, 2009 in The GalleryThis is a custom entertainment center I designed and built. The client's decor was very traditional and they wanted something that would blend in with antiques, as well as help there giant tv blend in. The unit constists of two tower cabinets, a bridge shelf that goes over the tv, and a fascade that covers the tv. The ouside of each tower slides forward to reveal hidden storage for movies. This unit is constructed of a combination of quarter sawn red oak and QS oak MDF panels. All of the carvings and crown molding are purchased and applied to the cabinet. The vertical carvings on the slide-outs are recessed flush with the rope moulding to give the appearance that it is carved into the surface.
