A view of some of the tools, old and new, that Dad uses in his cabinetmaking.
Doors shut, hanging on the wall over Dads well used bench.
Some hand-cut hidden dovetails.
Closer look at some of the wooden planes that still see use today.
The craftsman with his toolchest.

My Dad apprenticed as a cabinetmaker in Denmark, and their second year project was a toolbox, which was then used for the rest of their apprenticeship and onwards in their careers as cabinetmakers.  He built his toolchest in 1950, of Swedish fir and European beech, with rosewood guide pins, and finished with laquer.  The joinery is all hidden dovetails, and as you can see, it still sees active use, containing the myriad of tools he has collected and built over the years.
