This dome top bandsaw box was made from pine as a gift for my father-in-law who had a stroke.  The pine was wood that he had purchased before his stroke which left him partially paralyzed.  The marquetry image on the top represents an indian riding an Indian motorcycle of a type that my father-in-law had in his youth.  (The marquetry image was based on a photograph on the cover of a magazine on the Indian Motorcycle web site.)  The finish is shellac that was sanded and hand rubbed to a high gloss finish.
