Maple Mahogany and Purple Heart bowl

This is my first turning project a maple, mahogany, and purple heart bowl that i made in my high school wood shop as a birthday gift for my mom.  I coopered the sides together and finished it with tung oil.  I used pictures of roman vases as an inspiration for the shape.
