September 6th, 2009 in blogsRevelations on Table Saw Set-up & Safety by Hendrik Varju.
Passion for Wood, 2008.
$94.95 Canadian; 5 DVD set; 9 hrs, 55 mins.
Revelations on Table Saw Set-up & Safety by Hendrik Varju starts off with 2 hours of step-by-step, set-up procedures. The DVD then moves on to a 3 plus hour section detailing procedural techniques and safety training. Some of the topics covered in this section include what kickback is and how to avoid it; how to set-up your splitter for optimum safety; and lots more. Finally, you are given detailed instructions for creating “the most important table saw jig of all - the crosscut sled”. This DVD set has been called “Private Woodworking Instruction in a Box” and in it Varju provides a detailed course in tuning and using your tablesaw.
Our Managing Editor, Mark Schofield, reviewed the DVDs in more detail earlier on our blog. (And I'm told that Hendrik will have a new DVD title available on September 8, 2009).
Lucky Circuit Rider is the winner. His comment was chosen at random.
Check out the current giveaway for a chance to win a copy of American Furniture, 2003.
