swenson writes: No woodworkers were hurt making this prop. It's not fine furniture. The local gun club wanted props to hide behind during combat type contests. I made them a big blue mailbox and a fireplug. The fireplug was made out of cardboard concrete forms and an old woodturning jam chuck. It had a compartment in the base filled with sand for stability. My picture is my workshop. It is the first true "building" I built (I assume dog houses and tree houses don't count). I am going to install vinyl siding on it to match my house in the spring.

I spent this summer on the house; next summer I hope to tackle the workshop.

I use them for large sanding and routering tasks. The guy said "Want some cookies?" I said "Sure!" not knowing he meant bench cookies.

I forgot about them and left them in the front seat of the car. A couple of days later my wife said "You think you're funny don't you? I got in the car and saw that package that said cookies on it and got all excited!"

LOL. The funny thing is they work great. I plan to buy another set if I don't win them.

Beckum writes: My profile pic? Simply put .... "Can someone help me get this monkey off my back?" This is a picture of a truck driver's pet that decided to use my shoulder as a perch. It was taken out west in a truck stop. It is one of those cool memories that I like to keep close.

Now on to the bench cookies ... great idea, if they work as well as claimed.
