I made the die for the plug stock and hollow chisel mortise to match the uneven-pentagon plugs.

The table top came from a spectacular 15' x 2' x 5/4 honduran mohogany plank I found at a small lumber store in Mountain View, CA. I finished it using Sam Maloof's formula and sanding between coats with 600 grit. Stunning.

This table was built to match our Etager (also in Fine Woodworking Gallery) as a collection my wife and I have developed. The biggest chalenge was to plug the screw holes with something different then round or square plugs. Hence the uneven-pentagon, which show up on all of our work.
