I designed and built this table for my wife. She is a piano teacher and needed a place to put her piano books. The table top simulates a musical staff using wenge and zebra woods done using complementary routing. The main woods used are wenge, cherry, maple and zebrawood. The hinges are hand-made using wenge and cherry. The bottom of the drawer is solid wood (zebra). The box of the bottom is solid wood and rests on wooden rails to allow for wood expansion towards the back.
