Cooktop and Food for Connor

The cooktop is baltic birch and walnut, the knobs click when turned.  The burgers are walnut, the buns pine and the red onion redwood.  The cheese is yellowheart and the toast maple.  The bacon is maple and goncalo alves.  The crust on the toast is espresso, there is no stain or paint in the project.  Everything is finished with salad bowl finish so that it can be cleaned.  I don't have lathe yet, so the round pieces were turned on a drillpress with a rasp and sanding block. Connor, my grandson, loves to cook.

I am going to make a cooker and food for my grandchildren in wood and yours is lovely. How did you get the knobs to click? Margaret (UK) Posted: 5:33 am on January 14th
