This is a 22" square drawing board. It was made for my granddaughter to allow drawing while laying on the floor. She likes butterflys. (Drawing paper provided by others.) The birch plywood piece has walnut edging and a purple heart border. The decorations are marquetry set into a cherry panel which was veneered to the plywood.
