Contemporary All-Wood Clock - M5
December 24th, 2008 in The GalleryThis clock is a one of a kind design. It was built for a Jeweler in Chester, PA. The escape mechanism is a Graham design and the woods are Painted Poplar, Figured Maple and Gabon Ebony. The wire rope is brass. The pendulum weight is leaded crystal. The piece of maple used in the pendulum came from the WWII London Headquarters of Gen Eisenhower. I was lucky enough to be stationed in London (2000-2003) when reconstruction was ongoing. It keeps near perfect time +/- 2 minutes/week depending on humidity.
Design or Plan used: My own design - Charles Maxwell
