For a few minutes on TV this morning, Martha Stewart put aside the herb crepes with wild mushrooms and visited with Tom Lie-Nielsen, founder of Lie-Nielsen Toolworks. He talked about his hand tools and demonstrated some, too. It was, as Martha likes to say, “a good thing.”

For more than 25 years, Lie-Nielsen has been making exceptional handplanes and other hand tools at his factory on the coast of Maine. To learn more about his products, go to www.lie-nielsen.com.

You can listen to our hour-long interview with the hand-tool guru where he talks about the evolution of his company and products.

Past episode of Martha online can be found here, although today's episode is not available just yet.
