I can't be sure, but I believe that the KEY word in the sentence... "I, too, prefer to stay away from Chinese manufacturing."...is "PREFER".
posted: 4:24 pm on June 4thSometimes we hardly have a choice, but if it's important for someone to buy American, then I don't believe we can knock that choice, this is America. I don't feel that way about buying American, I want to get the most bang for my buck...I just happen to feel for myself, that when it comes to tools, to buy the best that I can afford. I think that the LN tools are a good bang for the buck.

I just voted with my dollars by buying a #3 bronze plane from Lie-Nielsen. Times too precious to spend all day tuning up and replacing the iron of a plane anymore.
