I've got hockey pucks as footpads on all of my woodworking machines and workbench. I might as well try some on top of the workbench, too.
To be clear, I strongly suspect that the Rockler "pucks" (cookies) are more tacky, right? I'd be happy to contribute to comparison/evaluation results!

Mike, I was intriqued by the rising dovetail you used, and tracked down Roy Underhill's description of the joint.
