Re: Conference Table

Here is a web site that shows a pic of lumber core.
Not sure what your level of experience is.
http://www.mcewenlumber.com/resources/core_types.html#lumber_core.
Also Edge is 8/4 Cherry ( 1 3/4" )

Re: Conference Table

The substrate was 2 layers of lumber core plywood glued together with opposing grain. So, 1 1/2" thick.
This Table is 16 Feet long, ( 2 halves ) the sides also have a radius to them.
One more interesting thing. The Bevels on the trim were cut with a 16" Timber Beam Skill Saw set into a jig.

Re: Chris & Morgan's Bubinga Adventure

I would drool to have a pc of wood like that. Very Nice
I live in Las Vegas, NV....Wood not to good here.

Re: Wall Unit

Thank You hermv2000,
The panels were laid up out of 4 pcs that had the edges beveled to create the "raised panel" I then sanded the square into the center. It took some trial and error figuring out the proper angles, each different door size has different angles. The two arched doors required a little more trial and error, and a lot of sanding, lol, to get the edge of the arched portion of the door to a consistant thickness to go into the rabbitted stile and rail frame.
Hope this helped, if you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
