The substrate was 2 layers of lumber core plywood glued together with opposing grain. So, 1 1/2" thick.

One more interesting thing. The Bevels on the trim were cut with a 16" Timber Beam Skill Saw set into a jig.

posted: 12:42 am on November 8thThe panels were laid up out of 4 pcs that had the edges beveled to create the "raised panel" I then sanded the square into the center. It took some trial and error figuring out the proper angles, each different door size has different angles. The two arched doors required a little more trial and error, and a lot of sanding, lol, to get the edge of the arched portion of the door to a consistant thickness to go into the rabbitted stile and rail frame.
