Tool chest with oak tree inlay
My hand tools should have a nice place to live and what better than a might oak tree to watch over them. I wanted to experiment with Lyptus wood so I came up with this tool cabinet to try it out on...
Tool Box, Mahogany
Mahogany tool chest with E. Indian rosewood pulls
Tool Box
Tool Box, Mahogany, maple with East Indian rosewood pulls
Sycamore and Makore box
A box with different woods, sycamore, makore, and east indian rosewood maybe one or two more I dont remember the names of.
parquetry box
Different veneers cut, rearanged, and glued up in different patterns. I was going for something with an asian flair.

Re: UPDATE: Book Giveaway: The Encyclopedia of Wood
this book will come in handy for certain wood identification especially the different types of wood some people are substituting for mahogany. I recently ordered some "Genuine" mahogany online and what I got was something I can not even identify. Its really tough stuff that has interlocking grain and some of the boards are very light in weight while others are considerably heavier. Every woodworker should own a book like this. Thanks for the chance to win it...

I was recently approached by a good friend that wants me to make a reproduction of an antique needlework frame but I do not know how to cut the threads on the parts that require them. I guess this book will help get me started in learning how cutting threads is done. Thank You for the opportunity to win the book.

If I don't win it I'll most likely buy it anyway. The last one, "traditional molding techniques-the basics" was awesome.

Is that real? Looks fake cause they are not showing him while the nails are being driven. Then when its all the way in they pan out and show him again.
