The time spent learning to use Google SketchUp efficiently is worth it to me. I like to draw the complete model when beginning a new project. This helps with size and proportion, but it does more than that. It helps me to plan the milling and joinery as well as glue-up procedure.

Thank you for honoring this great woodworker. I have enjoyed the various interviews made available here. He expresses his appreciation for handling the wood and his tools. I think his students were fortunate indeed.

Yes! I'd make one for the kid's corner at the public library. Very imaginative. Sharing the plans would be helpful.

This system has great artistic appeal. Lot's of work involved, but so it is with good woodworking.
