I am a Designer~Craftsman and I am self-taught. My business is Todd A. Clippinger-American Craftsman. I get inspiration from art, architecture, and things that many would not find relevant to furniture.

I started out 11 years ago doing handyman work, then grew into a more serious remodeling contractor. Being a contractor has opened many doors of opportunity for me to express my artistic side through custom furnishings.

I am invigorated by being part of a community. I find a greater connection to the artists I know than any contractors. I am challenged by the incredible woodworking talent out there. Individuals of the highest caliber become my benchmarks and I am driven to excell in design and technical expertise. I am not trying to become better than them, only to become better for myself.

Even though I am self-taught, I have advanced because of the generosity of others sharing their knowledge when I asked for help. My goal is to share the knowledge as freely as it has been shared with me. This is the true spirit of an American Craftsman.
