I am a photographer, woodworker, carver, artist. I began woodworking about 7 years ago. I took some night classes at our local college......you know...... the 1 night a week, three hours a night, for eight weeks, course kinda thing. My first project was a stool for my daughter to get up and down in her bed that I designed for her, and helped to finish. The second project was a hand carved bunk bed for my boys that I designed and built myself. I used to tease my instructor that I was his worst nightmare come to life......I could only think of these big projects to do....nothing simple for me.

I weould bring in my designs of what I wanted to build and he would just take a deep breath and with a big sigh....... he would say if you think that you can do that I will show you how........I really think that if he didn't let me do the big stuff first that I would have became bored and I would have probably went home. But my instructor, let me do what I wanted to do, and never discouraged me from building what I wanted to build. Me with very little skill and big ideas! I have a myspace page where I display some of my photography that I have done.....if you would like to take a look my website is: www.myspace.com/robinreneerusticheirlooms

Re: Book Giveaway: Furniture Restoration - Step-by-Step Tips and Techniques for Professional Results

Hello.....I am getting ready to restore and refinish some old chairs that bought. Your book would be a great resource of informtion, and techniques..... and would benifit me on helping me out on something, that I know absolutely nothing about restoring and refinishing furniture.
